Why my classes?
Experience
I have been teaching for over 10 years, 8 of these have been as a Head of History. I have successfully supported hundreds of students through the A Level History course and reach their first choice universities.
Insight
I have been an Examiner for AQA A Level History for a number of years. I fully understand the specification, its demands and how to support students with clear and simple strategies to achieve high grades in their written responses. Put simply, I know what examiners are looking for!
Practice makes progress
I firmly believe in plenty of exam practice and feedback - this is essential for student confidence and achieving A* - B grades. This is why my group sessions are planned around exam-style questions. I set my group students a range of assessments to routinely check their progress and provide feedback to both student and parent.
Genuinely caring and knowing my students
I take time to know my students and their needs. To achieve this, I keep group classes to a maximum of 8 students. This allows me to tailor my sessions to each individual and ensure there are plenty of opportunities to discuss and ask questions. I genuinely care about my students well-being and their goals.
